A Walk Through Plympton St Maurice - November 2013

Decided to have a look round the old town of Plympton St Maurice. Gorgeous little old town with lots of history. Walked up to the castle, looked at the old convent, walked past St Maurice Church on George lane and eventually back into the newer town of Plympton.

This is the old convent (St Peter's convent) which is currently up for sale. If I had the money I'd buy it!

Some of the grounds of the old convent.

The old St Maurice church.

Traditional houses painted in a variety of colours.

No idea on the history of this door, just intrigued me.

Found this as the bottom of a lane before walking out into a large open field. Can't decide if anyone lived in it but was a rather interesting looking building.

What's left of the old castle.

A view of St Peter's convent from the castle.
